My research focuses on cosmology, gravitational lensing, dark matter and microlensing, with particular interests in wave optics and compact dark-matter candidates.

Microlensing of fast and slow compact objects

Manish Tamta , Nirmal Raj & Himanshu Verma

We investigate gravitational microlensing without imposing the conventional assumption of a narrow lens velocity distribution, considering compact lenses with velocities spanning a broad range.

Entering the window of primordial black hole dark matter with X-ray microlensing

Manish Tamta , Nirmal Raj & Prateek Sharma

Physical Review D 111 , 043043 (2025)

We investigate X-ray microlensing as a probe of primordial black holes and explore the sensitivity of compact-object lensing to dark matter in a mass range that is difficult to constrain with conventional microlensing surveys.
